With the help of the digipak analysis, I was able to start designing some ideas for our own digipak.
The design on the left is based more on the Artic Monkeys digipak and the one on the right is based more off the Pink Floyd digipak.
The left design I took inspiration of the box idea from the Arctic Monkeys digipak, also with the colouring I would add a grungy effect which would also relate to the same digipak. For the outside I think I would make it black and white, just like the Soulkast digipak. The colours would relate to the genre, but also keep that minimalism style just like the digipaks from the Arctic Monkeys and Soulkast.
The right design had inspiration of the 3 panels from most of the digipaks as it seemed to be a popular choice. I think it must be a popular choice because there are more panels and therefore more creative space to work with.
With both ideas I thought it would be a great idea to have the CDs kept in red envelopes, which would make a link to our music video. I think the idea just makes it look a bit different, but it wouldn't be too fussy at the same time.
