This our (The Continuums) rough cut video. Initially we think the rough cut has gone well we finished it with plenty of time to spare therefore we could relax on the deadline day. The concept of the video is trying to show the boy (Matt) dreaming of his dream girl (Vicki). We have red envelopes to signify a change in location in the narrative and link in with our logo we had created for the band, unfortunately we didn’t get a chance to put this in our rough cut but as an improvement we will add this transition to our final cut. The cameras that we filmed on were different, the means that is the pictures are in different screen ratios but we have resolved this problem by not filming on the school cameras for the final cut because we can better quality footage on a Nikon D5000. The locations that we shot at were Alnwick Gardens, Nitelites light and sound, Tynemouth (Collingwood monument and King Edwards Bay) and Durham. We have a few shots missing so we have filled them in with performance footage. As you can see below (in the next post) we have received feedback from our target audience about what they enjoyed and what could be improved about our rough cut. We are going to take all of this on board and utilise it fully so we can make our final video the best it can be.
